Ascending Souls

this game reminds me of "Last Legacy" and "Null Space" it looks like it could be great fun. i feel like there should be some slight hint for where to start. maybe some npc text or lore so i don't stumble into hard enemies i might not be ready for.

Very impressive game! Loved the different weapons and the air combo mechanics. The combat animations are also very sweet. Here is my thoughts on how to improve on the game, I'm no expert but:

Think the hud should be smaller or more minimalistic, or at least give the player the option to make it smaller. Takes up too much screen.
Some assets are in very high-detailed resolution and others are scaled up and very low-res. It creates a discrepancy and hurts the overall aesthetic of the game.
The roll animation could use some work, it's not very clear.
The theme looks like dark fantasy and the song although has awesome quality it doesn't seem like a perfect match.

These would be the major points but keep on going. This has so much potential and I had a lot of fun with it! Good luck! I'm gonna start a metroidvania myself so this game is pretty inspiring.
